A telehandler’s lift capacity decreases as the boom goes higher and further forward. For example:
- Close to machine, low height: full capacity (e.g., 5,000 kg)
- Full height, close to machine: about 60-70% of capacity
- Full height, fully extended forward: only 20-30% of capacity
Always check the load chart inside the cab before lifting. Never guess. Common XCMG telehandler models have capacities from 3,000 kg to 6,000 kg at close range.
